Day 1
Arrived at 6am and waited for one hour + for SYL at the airport. I couldn't use my phone my phone and eventhough there was wifi, it didn't work. I kinda freaked out a little because I was thinking 'what if she doesn't come'. I even tried asking one of the Koreans working at the airport for some help but they couldn't understand a shit I was saying -.-" Remembered I had some coins and so I decided to call her using the public phone. And phew* She said she didn't wake up on time, which was why she was 1 hour late. And so, I continued to wait for her and then all of a sudden, I saw this person running like a duck. I knew it immediately, it was SYL! :)
When I called out her name, we both started laughing and pointing at each other for a good 5 minutes. You know, it was that kinda laugh like 'omg, it's been so long!!'. :')

Her name is Sooyeon, and she was my best friend in highschool. She left in year 9, and we haven't met ever since.... until I decided to buy my tickets to Korea to go see her.
After we reached home, we rested for a while before we headed out again to......

Here's the story; I was talking to Sooyeon in english (like duh. My korean is terrible) and out of the blue, some man probably in his late 40s popped up infront of us and started speaking to us in english, like 'oh helo. how are you'. Sooyeon and I didn't bother with him and I continued telling her my story and we just kept walking. But the weirdo man (yah, I shall call him weirdo man from now on) kept following us and tried to impress us with his english by saying 'oh, you so beautiful'. I could tell Sooyeon was really pissed at that time as the weirdo man kept following us and speaking to us in english ...until sooyeon blew it and scolded the weirdo man 'WE'RE KOREANS' (in korean; uri hangguk sarameeye-yo). Weirdo man finally backed off and probably went searching for another foreigner to impress them with his english again.

there were alot of these costume people around myeongdong and I kept disturbing them by popping up infront of them and poking them. Heh.

In my favourite accessories shop! the accessories there is damn cheap! and nice looking too! Rings for $1. head bands and necklaces for like less than $5. CHEAAAAAAP. I regret not buying more!!
Stopped by one of these food stalls and tried their ddukbokki AND IT WAS SO FREAKING GOOOOOOOOD!! Super spicy too! I like! Melbourne's one can suck ass lah.
Tried this banana flavoured milk and fell in love with it instantly.
Craving for it now!! It taste like honey milk! with some banana flavour?
Going back home after a day at myeong dong. :) - and it was damn cold.
K.O-ed after that. Napped for 2 hours and when i woke up, dinner was ready.

It got colder and colder towards the night. so cold that I had to wrap my whole face with my scarf. and oh yes, I bought that scarf that day. only for $10! It was really my life saver. Without the scarf, I would freeze to death! like literallyy!

Met up with sooyeon's boyfriend and we had dinner together at some chicken shop. Stuffed myself with so much fried chicken and chicken salad I became a pregnant woman even before I'm really pregnant ToT

When we showed this picture to one of our friend, she asked sooyeon if i was her 'dongsaeng'... her younger sister. haha! even when i posted this picture on facebook, my mum and some of my friends thought we were twins.
Day 3

i missed syl mum's kimbap so much!! used to eat it so often together when she was still in Melbourne!
So like, the day before while me and sooyeon were just casually talking about random things in the MRT.. we came to the topic of hair and decided that we were gonna go do our hair the next day. And so, we went to her mum's friends place to get our hair done! :)

It was my first time perming my hair and I've been talking about perming my hair for the longest time... and I finally did it. I like it.
After doing our hair, we went to some place to eat ddukbokki cos I was craving for some! Also tried soondae and some fried sweet potato. Love all of it! But I prefer the ddukbokki at the random food stall in myeongdong cos that one is spicier.

syl's mum is so nice T___T cos I said i wanted to eat kimchi pancake so she purposely made it for me! haha.
We went to dong-dae-mun that night! From one store to another store. Running from one complex to another complex in the cold. REALLY COLD I tell you. But it was a great experience :)

Day 4

Met two of Giwon's friends. One apparently looks like a monkey and the other one grew up in Mongolia. WOW. The 'monkey' was really funny. Even called sooyeon and I beautiful. Hahaha. *flattered*.

On the way to Co Ex Mall to meet up with Sooyeon's aunty (who I have met once in Melbourne) for dinner... and I bumped into TOP. hehe.
Rushed back home after dinner and got ready to go CLUBBING!!! Haha! First time clubbing in Korea. And boy. it was... a good experience?
Clubbed at Hongdae, 'club mass'.
people can go in wearing converse shoes. and the korean people dress up so kawaii to clubs!! funnily cute?! Also, everyone dances facing the front, the dj. Hmm..
While we were all separated (sooyeon and her boyf was on stage dancing, and her friends are somewhere else), I was standing alone in the crowd. Some random korean dude comes up to me and taps my shoulder and starts talking to me in korean and i'm like. i don't speak korean. i think cos the music was blasting so loudly he couldn't hear me. so he kept talking to me at least 4 times. lol. in the end, i ran away.
my eyes were damn red after clubbing! i think it's cos there was so much smoke inside there. and no, i didn't drink any alchy at all. so... i suspect it's the smoke ....

Day 5

oh! i realised that the policemen in Korea are quite good/decent looking! and they're super helpful too! unlike the policemen from some countries who look so... ______. i won't say it. go imagine.

and 99.9% of the people who goes to hello kitty cafe is just to camwhore in there and enjoy the ambiance. no? ;)

it was sooyeon's birthday that day :)
finally got to celebrate her birthday WITH HER after 5 years T____T;;
treated her to hello kitty tiramisu and hello kitty waffles :)

Day 6, LAST DAY

yeah, it was pretty crazy. 5 seconds into the ride and ZOOOOMMMM! we were literally flying super duper fast! i was screaming the whole way but it was EPICCCC! i wanna sit on it again!!! we waited around 1.5hours for this ride.

That night, we met up with sooyeon's boyfriend for dinner. ate at some pizza place! 2pm was the models for that pizza thingy i forgot what the name of the pizza place is called.
After that, we went to get my luggage from syl's apartment and when we left the apartment my luggage BROKE. all three handles broke -____-;
i was so embarrassed cos syl's boyf was carrying it for me the whole way!! I felt so damn bad and embarrassed omg.
but yeah. they accompanied me all the way to the airport and bid me farewell!

And so, I left Korea happily :)
Definitely going back again some time in the future! Love it there! Love the food and the shopping!
